In an interview, before the Grand Toulouse Allianz Open, Gregory Havret told Eric Gendry that he is impatient to come to Mauritius.

In 2007 you played at Barbaroux which was the first major final of the Allianz Golf Tour. And, this year, for the first time since four years, you will be there in the final.

« I promised to play another tournament of the Allianz Golf Tour again this year. I will keep my promise and will attend the Mauritius Golf Masters in mid-December as this tournament will allow 20 players of AGT to compete against invited players. I look forward to it as it will be truly a week of celebration and also, because I can also put faces to names of young players whose only thing I know for now are the results. I would like to go more often on trials, but the heavy schedule of the European Tour prevents me to do so. I want to see them play, talk with them and know about their way of seeing things. I am eager to meet those who, one day, will take my place so that we can celebrate this season together.».
