Last year's winner, the Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts is the favorite of the race in 2011. The impressive Belgian slugger, who is currently in the 18th place in the European Tour, has real ambitions in Dubai for the final of the European Tour and comes on the heels in Mauritius to defend his title. Selected within the continental team of Vivendi Seve Trophy, he has also distinguished himself in 2011 by winning the Volvo China Open, and by mounting the podiums of Volvo Match Play Championship and the Barclays Scottish Open. One must admit that this is a real chance to receive a player of this caliber on the Mauritian ground and only the Afrasia Golf Masters proposes to admire this level of golf.
